Politics of Measurement: HHS Blows up long-term US COVID-19 data, but opts for new Pediatric ICU categories

Date: January 16th, 2022

Author: Kyle A. Beattie

We have three days left to gather US mortality data on COVID-19 associated deaths. The US government will then begin the process of changing data recording protocol for COVID-19, again. This time it’s massive, and nicely hidden. HHS will no longer collect data on COVID-19 associated deaths.

Step 1: Remove COVID-19 deaths

This is not a joke. Please see page 12, ID16 and page 27, item 16 in the list “Data Elements Made Inactive for the Federal Data Collection” from the document COVID-19 Guidance for Hospital Reporting and FAQs For Hospitals, Hospital Laboratory, and Acute Care Facility DataReporting that was just made public by the Health and Human Services (HHS) This is a disturbing move by HHS considering the controversy, skepticism, and mistrust surrounding the COVID-19 narrative as put forth by the US government and US mainstream media. There are many questions that abound, I will not review them here, they have been clearly and loudly enunciated by many far greater than the one writing this article. Something smells swampy...and I think it is all the mucky data.

Step 2: Add Pediatric ICU categories

And now, after halting the recording of COVID-19 data, just as they are injecting your children with these experimental injections, often illegally coercing them through school, sport, and other mandates, they are adding new categories to be collected.
  • [NEW] Inpatient pediatric beds (Subset)
  • [NEW] Pediatric hospital inpatient bed occupancy (Subset)
  • [NEW] Pediatric ICU beds (Subset)
  • [NEW] Pediatric ICU bed occupancy (Subset)
  • Hospitalized ICU pediatric laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients
  • [NEW] Previous day’s pediatric admissions with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19; stratification by age group: 0-4, 5-11, 12-17, Unknown.
  • Why so many new categories for children? Particularly ICUs? Are they expecting a lot of children in the ICUs for some reason? This is odd considering children bear the lowest risk of all age groups for getting seriously ill or dying from COVID and bear a high risk for vaccine induced myocarditis and other complications. There is an excellent academic article about this written by Dr. Ronald Kostoff and colleagues in the journal Toxicology Reports that would be informative for parents to read on this subject. So, data wranglers beware, the US data on COVID is about to get even muckier and the high season for the politics of measurement is in full swing.
